I hope everyone had a great summer and want to let you know that the 2010-11 Scouting year is starting soon. We look forward to a great year ahead with lots of Scout events planned.

Event: Troop Open House
Who: Returning Boy Scouts, Scouts transferring from other Troops, Webelo crossovers and new students interested in joining. Each scout is encouraged to bring a friend that may be interested in Scouting. Parents are encouraged to attend.Date: Wednesday, September 8, 2010
Meeting Time: 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm.
Place: Dulwich College, 266 LanAn Rd in the Pudong, Jin Qiao area
What to bring: Scout Handbook, Parents, a friend, and money for registration fees and uniform (see details below).
Dress: Class A Uniform (Webelo crossovers may wear current uniform until Boy Scout Uniform received.)
Pizza and Snacks will be provided.
This meeting is for returning Scouts, Scouts who have moved to Shanghai this summer and are transferring to Troop 969, new Scouts moving up from Cub-Scouts, and all students who are considering joining Troop 969 will be held on September 1st. At this meeting all will have the opportunity to register for the new Scout year and pay the annual dues of 1000 RMB (which covers the expenses of running the Troop as well as the BSA Council fees and a full year's subscription to Boy's Life magazine), and purchase items of Scout uniform they need.
