The Senior Patrol Leader (SPL) is elected by the Scouts
to represent them as the top youth leader in the troop.

Attendance:	Active in the troop for 3 months The Assistant Senior Patrol Leader provides leadership to other youth leaders in the troop.

Attendance:	Active in the troop for 3 months The Junior Assistant Scoutmaster (JASM) provides support and supervision to the Troop's other boy leaders. He is a valuable resource to the Troop for teaching Scout skills and is a role-model for youth leadership.

Age:	At least 16 but less than 18 The Patrol Leader (PL) is the elected leader of his patrol. He represents his patrol on the Patrol Leader's Council. He focuses on helping his patrol members to succeed.

Attendance:	Active in the Troop for 3 months The Assistant Patrol Leader (APL) leads the patrol in the absence of the Patrol Leader. He is a strong ally to the Patrol Leader and is relied upon to help the patrol progress.

Attendance:	none The Troop Guide works with a new-Scout patrol. He is a mentor to the new-Scout patrol leader and assists the new Scouts as they learn Scout skills. The Troop Guide is a friend to the new Scouts and makes first year fun and successful.  This is an important position!
